SCHAUMBURG, IL - Tom Johnson, author of the 100 Best Fleets, announced the winners of the Government Green Fleet awards at the Green Fleet Conference on Wednesday. The City of Riverside, Calif., was named the No. 1 Government Green Fleet. The award is evaluated based on standards in fleet composition, fuel and emissions, policy and planning, fleet utilization, education, executive and employee involvement, and supporting programs. Awards recipients in order are:

The Wednesday awards program also recognized the Sustainability All-Star Awards; the Propane Autogas Fleet Award; and the first fleet to pass the CLEANfleet Certification Tier 5, Washington DC Gas.
