The State of Louisiana is installing GPS tracking devices on its entire 10,543-vehicle fleet, The Advocate reported. The state expects the $10 million project will save $30 million over the next five years by reducing the cost of fuel, maintenance, and insurance.

The state expects the $10 million project will save $30 million over the next five years by reducing the cost of fuel, maintenance, and insurance.
GPS Insight is providing the monitoring service for $25.57 per vehicle monthly. The state hopes to complete device installations on all vehicles by November.
