The Burlingame (Calif.) Department of Public Works issued a request for proposal (RFP) for an automated fleet monitoring system for 78 vehicles.

The system should have reporting and grouping capabilities and provide telematics data, including but not limited to the physical location of vehicles; odometer readings; miles driven; time and frequency of use; driver idle time; speed; and number of stops.

The City released the RFP on Aug. 13. The proposal deadline is Aug. 27, with a tentative contract start date of Oct. 6. Contact Tasha Newton at (650) 558-7372 or at tnewton@burlingame.org for a copy of the RFP.
