REDLANDS, CA - Esri ArcLogistics, the new vehicle routing and scheduling solution based on cloud services, will host a webinar on Thursday, September 16 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern. GIS managers and IT managers/directors, as well as logistics and routing managers and decision makers in government organizations are invited to attend.

Esri will announce a special state and local government grant (value up to $450,000) during this webinar. The grant is available to any state or local government in the U.S. that can demonstrate a need for ArcLogistics.

Esri created ArcLogistics specifically to help organizations with small and mid-sized fleets benefit from the same powerful logistics technology that has helped large corporations. ArcLogistics can help reduce fuel use, vehicle wear and tear, and time spent building routes. This product is sold and scaled based on the number of vehicles, making it accessible to organizations routing any number of vehicles, from one to hundreds.

Karen Grassi, GISP, senior operating systems programmer at Miami-Dade County, and Rich Pearlman, logistics business development manager at Esri, will discuss how ArcLogistics can help state and local governments reduce costs in operations such as:

  • Health, housing and building inspections
  • Property appraisals
  • Public works maintenance crew routing
  • Solid waste bulk pick-ups

Grassi will specifically address how ArcLogistics has helped Miami-Dade County lower fuel costs and vehicle use and reduce its carbon footprint.
