DEF Prices Continue to Rise

March 28, 2014

Integer Research's March DEF price tracker indicates that U.S. and Canadian bulk diesel exhaust fluid prices continued to rise in March, even as feedstock prices declined slightly.

According to Integer, the average U.S. bulk DEF price increased in March over the previous month up four cents to $1.61 per gallon for full truckload deliveries and $1.93 per gallon for less-than-truckload deliveries. For tote refill deliveries, prices on average increased five cents to $1.99 per gallon.

Prices for tote refills in Canada increased an average of three cents in March to CA$0.64 per liter, while it was up a penny for full truckload and down a penny for less-than-truckload deliveries.

The lowest U.S. prices were reported in Atlanta and Cincinnati while the highest prices were in Denver and Phoenix.

The national DEF truck stop average prices remained at $2.80 per gallon in the U.S. and CA$0.80 per liter in Canada, Integer said.
