Adamson Industries is offering Havis’ Idleright vehicle idle fuel management system control module. Adamson said the idle management system will allow equipment to operate under vehicle battery power alone until the battery voltage drops below a threshold users can set. When this happens, the system will automatically restart the engine to recharge the battery. The device will continue this cycle until it’s deactivated.

Adamson said Havis’ device is integrated with a vehicle’s warning light equipment, which means a user can only activate it when warning lights are on. The device includes shutdown features that can prevent the engine from running when the hood is open or when the brake pedal is pressed for added safety.

This device doesn’t require an external battery or other power source. All if the system’s logic components can be installed under a vehicle’s dashboard. When adding this system, it can come with a momentary programming switch with a diagnostic indicator light to enable field programming of the system’s features. According to the company, the Idleright works with gasoline and diesel vehicles with automatic transmissions.
