Atlantic County Utilities Authority Saves Millions in Operating Costs

PLEASANTVILLE, NJ - This week's Clean Cities Success Story features New Jersey's Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA), which employs biodiesel, compressed natural gas, renewable natural gas, solar energy, and wind to meet its transportation and power needs. Not only has ACUA achieved significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, but it has also saved more than $2 million per year in operating costs.

The segment on ACUA will be available for viewing on the MotorWeek program starting May 7. For show times in your area, check the MotorWeek and Discovery Channel Web sites.
