LOUISVILLE, KY - The Louisville Metro Council is working to get take-home fees collected from police officers returned to them by the end of March, according to the Examiner.

Metro Council Minority Caucus Chairman Hal Heiner (R., Dist 19) introduced a resolution Jan. 28, calling on Metro Government to suspend its appeal of a Kentucky Labor Cabinet Ruling regarding Metro Government charging police officers for the use of their vehicles during non-working hours, and immediately begin good-faith settlement negotiations with representatives of River City Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 614 regarding the release of funds collected from police officers for the use of their police vehicles.

Fees imposed ranged from $100-$160, reported the Louisville Courier-Journal.

The resolution sought to have take-home fees returned by March 31, reported the Examiner.
