Scania Debuts Reconfigurable Urban Utility Vehicle Concept

Scania's new NXT electric, self-driving concept vehicle can be quickly reconfigured to meet changing fleet needs in the course of a single work day. It can be a commuter bus in the morning and evening, for example, and a refuse truck overnight.

Mercedes-Benz Shows Fuel Cell Sprinter Van

Daimler AG's Mercedes-Benz Vans division showed off a concept Sprinter that delivers power from a hydrogen fuel cell stack to an electric motor that could achieve an effective range of 500 kilometers (310 miles). Executives showed the vehicle to journalists in Hamburg, Germany, on July 3.

Sprinter Extreme Concept Van

Nissan's 'Winter Warrior' Concepts

Ahead of the Chicago Auto Show, Nissan has given a Pathfinder, Murano, and Rogue an aggressive makeover, equipping them with heavy-duty snow tracks. The custom heavy-duty DOMINATOR Tracks from American Track Truck, Inc., are 48 inches long, 30 inches high, and 15 inches wide, and replace the vehicles' wheels and tires. The suspensions and wheel wells were modified to fit the snow tracks, but otherwise all drivetrain components, including the engines and Xtronic transmissions, are standard.

Renault Unveils Pickup Concept
