Trilliant 36 LED WhiteLight Conversion Bulb

Grote Industries

MADISON, IN – Grote Industries, a high-performance LED lighting technology provider for the transportation industry, introduced the Trilliant 36 LED WhiteLight Conversion Bulb, the newest member of its LED WhiteLight Work Lamp Portfolio.

The Trilliant 36 LED WhiteLight Conversion Bulb turns any PAR 36 incandescent lamp into an LED WhiteLight Lamp. With the simplicity of changing a light bulb, users can upgrade an existing incandescent or halogen lamp, transforming it into a brilliant 900-lumen LED WhiteLight lamp that lasts longer, shines brighter, and delivers beam evenness, color temperature and contrast like sunlight, said Grote.

PAR 36 work lamps are among the most widely used lamps in the world, particularly within the heavy-duty trucking industry.  However, with the life span of an incandescent bulb rated at only 25 to 500 hours, the cost of ownership for these lamps adds up over time. Factor in the loss of human and vehicle productivity associated with bulb outages and the time to obtain and replace bulbs and the cost rises exponentially. The energy consumption of incandescent and halogen lamps increases their operating expense as well.

Grote's Trilliant 36 LED WhiteLight Conversion Bulb is rated for a service life of 40,000 hours, uses only one-half the power and will likely never need to be replaced. In many cases, the bulb will outlast its housing and the vehicle on which it is installed, the company said.

As with its other LED WhiteLight products, Grote has also equipped the new offering with superior optical characteristics, according to the company. The bulbs come in a wide flood beam pattern and Grote's new TractorPlus beam pattern. In certified tests performed by Grote, both the wide flood and TractorPlus LED bulbs produced beam patterns that delivered almost three times more usable light, compared to traditional PAR 36 bulbs.

All Trilliant 36 LED WhiteLight Conversion Bulbs are manufactured with rugged UV, hard-coated, polycarbonate lenses that can be replaced if damaged.  The lenses are easily interchanged and conversion from a wide flood to TractorPlus lens can be accomplished within moments.

Pay Me Now or Pay Me Later

By Mike Antich
Fleet maintenance costs are trending upward compared to prior years. The key reason is the higher frequency of repairs on higher-mileage units as a result of the widespread deferment of equipment replacement by many government fleets. In a true case of "pay me now or pay me later," fleet managers face the challenge of how to hold maintenance costs down while operating an aging fleet.

Poor Fleet Management Can Kill

By Eric Bearly
In good times, your fleet operation can become an easy target for policy-makers trying to find money for pet projects. In hard times, the size of that target can grow out of control. When lifecycles are extended to extreme lengths, staff cuts go too deep, replacement funds are pilfered and logical fleet policy is replaced with uneducated number crunching, the results can be deadly.
