LOUISVILLE, KY- The Louisville Metro Council is working to get take-home fees collected from police officers returned to them by the end of March, according to the Examiner.
Metro Council Minority Caucus Chairman Hal Heiner (R., Dist 19) introduced a resolution Jan. 28, calling on Metro Government to suspend its appeal of a Kentucky Labor Cabinet Ruling regarding Metro Government charging police officers for the use of their vehicles during non-working hours, and immediately begin good-faith settlement negotiations with representatives of River City Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 614 regarding the release of funds collected from police officers for the use of their police vehicles.
