Citrus County Sheriff’s Purchases FASTER

NORFOLK, VA – The Citrus County Sheriff’s office in Inverness, Fla., has purchased CCG Systems, Inc.’s FASTER fleet management system through GSA. The Citrus County Sheriff’s decision to purchase a real-time fleet management system was an effort toward saving taxpayers’ dollars for Florida residents.

FASTER’s data enhances management’s ability to make proactive decisions to maximize availability, usage, and cost effectiveness of resources. This results in improved customer service, repairs, and maintenance services, and increased staff efficiency and productivity, according to the company.

The Citrus County Sheriff’s Fleet Maintenance division maintains agency vehicles and aims to keep the patrol cars on the road and in good working order. Technicians perform preventative maintenance daily on the agency’s fleet, which includes automobiles, boats, and specialty equipment. In addition to auto repair, technicians also fabricate, weld, and tackle most major repairs when needed. The Citrus County’s Fleet Maintenance department in Lecanto, Fla., has been a FASTER customer since 1991.
