CHARLOTTESVILLE,  VA - Global Fleet Sales, Inc., a producer of modified and baseline Ford vehicles for companies and organizations involved in humanitarian, aid, relief, and development projects, and police services around the world, has received a number of U.S. government contracts, according to www.defenseindustrydaily.com.

New contracts include:

· A $39.9 million firm-fixed-price contract for 383 dump trucks. Work will be performed in Turkey, and is expected to be complete by Jun. 2011.

· An $84.2 million firm-fixed-price contract for police light tactical vehicles and spare parts. Work will be performed in Thailand, and is expected to be complete by Feb. 2011.

· A $72 million firm-fixed-price contract for police light tactical vehicles and spare parts. Work will be performed in Thailand, and is expected to be complete by Feb. 2011.

GFS has now opened a production and engineering center at Thailand’s Laem Chabang duty-free deep sea port, near the Ford plan at Rayong.

The new production facility provides the full range of vehicle modifications ranging from special application fire trucks to ambulances, military vehicles, severe off-road vehicles, refrigerated boxes, and limited accessory fitting.
