NORFOLK, VA – CCG Systems, Inc. announced that the Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD) in Fountain Valley, Calif. awarded its RFP contract to CCG/FASTER, developer of the FASTER fleet management system used by top fleets in the nation.

A governmental agency responsible for wastewater quality control for Metropolitan Orange County and protection of the marine environment off its coastline, OCSD has over 500 employees in 22 divisions. With two plant locations (Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach), OCSD currently maintains an asset base of 20,000 with 500 designated as fleet or equipment assets.

OCSD technicians perform inspections, predictive maintenance, corrective maintenance, computer diagnostic testing and motor pool dispatching duties. Standby services are provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Services include but are not limited to the diesel fueling and PM maintenance of generators at various pump stations throughout the 24 cities in Orange County. The equipment operators assist the technicians by performing minor servicing and repair on OCSD vehicles and equipment. In addition, they operate cranes, backhoes, tour bus, and other various types of trucks and heavy equipment.

Providing the technology solution for OCSD’s Fleet Services, FASTER is capable of storing, managing, and producing maintenance and management reports (FASTER has over 100 standard reports including the capability of customized reporting) on OCSD’s fleet. FASTER seamlessly integrates with any automated fuel system and other fuel sources. It also has the ability to transfer data to OCSD’s accounting system helping to create a solid fleet database. With new performance standards required of the fleet manager and division supervisors at OCSD, FASTER’s real – time information and robust reporting will help the OCSD staff in making optimum decisions.
