WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama issued an Executive Order Oct. 1 to prohibit texting while driving on official government business or while using government-supplied equipment.

ARLINGTON, VA - Effective Sept. 1, all drivers in Texas school crossing zones are banned from talking on hand-held phones and texting, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
