ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Three area legislators have introduced a bill that, if made law, would force the State of New Jersey to increase the fuel efficiency of its motor vehicle fleet.

WASHINGTON - The state of New Jersey owns more than 2,200 cars and light trucks that run on E-85, a cleaner-burning fuel mix of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline.

However, today’s elevated fuel prices and stretched budgets are prompting the local media and elected officials to question unnecessary use of government vehicles.
