The State of South Carolina Buys GPS Tracking Units Hoping to Save Money

COLUMBIA, S.C.– South Carolina is looking to save money by spending roughly $4 million on GPS units that can track every move made by the state’s school buses and road construction vehicles.

Erie County Saves Money With GPS

BUFFALO, NY – As global positioning comes to the Erie County fleet, officials are looking at $650,000 a year in fuel and maintenance costs, with only $150,000 in start up costs to place the units in 200 county vehicles.
