Chicago Fleet Commissioner Suspended for 3 Months

CHICAGO - Mayor Richard Daley suspended his fleet commissioner after learning the City awarded vehicle repair work to a man convicted nearly 30 years ago of falsifying work orders on Chicago Police Department vehicles and giving kickbacks to city workers.

Chicago Gets $1M to Reduce Diesel Emissions

CHICAGO - The EPA recovery act funds will be used to purchase and install 35 diesel oxidation catalysts and 163 diesel-fired heaters on municipal vehicles, and partially fund two new hybrid diesel-electric aerial trucks to replace older vehicles.
