Automotive Fleet and Leasing Association (AFLA) Annual Conference

9/9/2009 - 9/11/2009

PHOENIX —  The 41st annual AFLA 2009 Conference will be held at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona.

In its 35+ years since its founding, the Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA) has emerged as a dynamic organization that promotes growth, expansion and professionalism within the fleet industry by providing education, research, technical standards, representation and advancement of member interests.

AFLA has brought unity to an industry so fragmented in 1969 that it had no networking forum for fleet buyers and sellers to exchange reliable industry information or education. Today AFLA has more than 300 member companies representing all industry segments, including: fleet managers and buyers; auto manufacturers and dealers; remarketers; fleet lease; management; maintenance and repair companies; safety, transporting, upfitting and many other specialized suppliers.

AFLA works with member companies to address key issues facing the entire industry and deliver leading-edge programs, on everything from advanced vehicle design to telematics and remarketing, that advance their skills and enhance the environment in which they sell products and services.

AFLA is an active and growing association and welcomes industry professionals to join its loyal and enthusiastic membership.

National Conference State Fleet Administrators

9/27/2009 - 10/2/2009

CHICAGO — In 2009, the NCSFA Conference and Trade Show will be held at the Hilton Indian Lakes Resort in the Chicago, Illinois area.

NCSFA provides its members with proactive networking and political forum, bringing State Fleet representatives together to educate, inform, problem solve and instruct members on current fleet management policies, procedures and exchange of ideas, solutions and technology.

NCSFA's Members consist of the actual administrators responsible for their organization’s budget accountability, specification, acquisition, leasing, repair, maintenance, and disposal. Though the group may be considered small in comparison to other professional management organizations, its presence is recognized in the fleet community.

On average, each state purchases about $21 million in fleet and fleet related products annually for a combined annual purchasing power of about $1 billionin new vehicle purchases. When fuel, parts and commercial services are included, the annual purchases rise to between $2 and $2.5 billion.

Collectively, the combined states own fleet assets in excess of $17.5 billion and circulate over one million fuel credit cards.

Who should attend? Any government fleet professional, or administrator, involved with decisions regarding their fleet financials, acquisition, operation, and safety, including driver safety.
