Alameda County Gets Funding for Recharging Stations

OAKLAND, CA - Alameda County, in Northern California, recently received an $84,760 grant from the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (AQMD) for 40 electric vehicle charging stations which will be mainly used to recharge county and local agency vehicles, the Oakland Tribune reports.

Portland Expected to Delay Biodiesel Standard

PORTLAND, OR - In Oregon, the Portland Water Bureau has decided to delay implementation of a new Renewable Fuels Standard to meet goals for 2010, according to DJC Oregon. The standard would have changed July 1 to require all diesel sold in Portland to have a blend of at least 10 percent biodiesel.
