A wide range of presentations and seminars covering public sector fleet management issues, a vendor fair, and networking events highlighted the National Conference of State Fleet Administrators meeting (NCSFA), held in September in Hershey, Pa.

Hosted by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and chaired by Josie Sharp, CAFM, NCSFA board member, the conference attracted attendees from nearly 40 state and university fleet operations.

According to NCSFA Executive Director Steve Saltzgiver, the meeting’s vendor fair drew a record of 65 suppliers, who provided product and service information to attendees.

The conference was the setting for announcing the NCSFA Environmental Leadership Award to Kent Fretwell, fl eet operations manager for Oregon’s Department of Administration Services.

The group’s Distinguished Member award was presented to Glenn Moss with Allison Transmissions, recognizing “Glenn’s and Allison’s contributions to making NCSFA successful over the past several years,” said Saltzgiver.

The 2008 NCSFA meeting will be held in Long Beach, Calif. For further information, visit the group’s Web site, www.ncsfa.net.
